The other day there was three ships, that's a lot of passengers. Anybody know how much revenue per cruiser? Tough to track.... passengers are out on their own, unlike the AI's where everything is tracked The locals will know more..... by their pockets Oh, sorry I misunderstood Is there an entry fee to enter Dominican Republic? Visit the Embassy of the Dominican Republic website for current visa information. . Cruise passengers must obtain a tourist card if they are disembarking for longer than 24 hours. I need to clarify what I meant by revenue. In this case, taxes. What motivates the government to encourage things. There is a port tax on each registered passenger on the ship which is collected by the Govt. whether the passenger disembarks or not. That amount varies based on the time the ship is at port. This tax is included in the passenger cost, and the cruise line is billed by the Govt. 27,313 passengers X 30 + 3 ships X 20,000= in government revenue at least for just that one day. That explains why the government likes cruise ports. Don’t forgot the average of $100 each passenger spends at port adds up quickly!
